It’s Fun - Our program for 4,5 and 6 year olds is built to teach children our “Four Core” life skills while fully involving your child an activity that they will love to come to.
It’s Design - Instead of putting 4 year olds with 12 year olds like other programs we have a full class and program designed to fit your child’s needs at their young age. We begin by only allowing 4-6 year olds in the Little Dragons class and teach them a curriculum designed to meet them at their age.
The Atmosphere - As a parent you are mainly interested in your child gaining our “Four Core” life skills of Confidence, Focus, Discipline, and Self-Control. Your child just will have fun punching and kicking our punching bags and pads held by our specially trained instructors.
We have built an Atmosphere that is fun and exciting while constantly reinforcing our “Four Core” life skills. This allows your childdren to get exactly what they want while you get exactly what you want out of our program.
As I am writing this I have a 4 year old son and he is crazy 90% of the time!
As a parent I want my child to grow up with principles that will help him live his life to the fullest no matter what path he chooses in life. I believe that Stapleton Family Karate's “Core Four” life skills taught to their Little Dragons is a great foundation for my son to get what he needs to take on life.
Let me explain what they are and why I believe in them as a Parent...
Confidence - In the Little Dragon’s Program they teach your child to believe in themselves and their abilities. In order to teach this they give the children 100’s of opportunities to set and earn little and bigger goals to encourage them that they can do anything they set their mind to. Imagine your child being able to earn real accomplishments that are challenging but achievable at only 4 years of age. That is an amazing boost of Confidence for a little guy!
Self-Control - My son is constantly doing destructive things on impulse that hurts himself and others around him. It seems that it is built into him that as soon as an idea comes into his head he can not control himself or think it is a bad idea before he does it. In the Little Dragon’s class they teach children to be in control of their thoughts and actions and to re-think before they do things.
Focus - Education is extremely important to me as a parent and I want my child to be able to focus on his teacher at school . In each Little Dragons Class the children are required to pay attention 100% of the time. This gets them into the habit of focusing on a teacher in a classroom setting;a perfect thing to teach them early on in their life!
Discipline - Stapleton Family Karate teaches children to follow the rules in Taekwondo class, at home, and at school. They explain this in a way that 4,5, and 6 year olds can understand and practice while also reinforcing good behaviour at home and in class.
I could not recommend this program enough to other parents of young children!
Taekwondo - Taekwondo is a Martial Art that is great at helping young children develop Gross and Fine Motor skills. They will learn Blocks and Strikes with their hands and stances and kicks to make their legs strong and coordinated.
Bully Self Defense - We teach all of our students how to deal with bullies in any area of their life. We cover appropriate actions and steps to take with verbal and physical abuse by a bully.
Stranger Danger - Our Stranger Danger Curriculum covers awareness, using your voice, who to get if you are in danger, and what to do if a stranger grabs you. When your child holds a Black Belt in our Taekwondo Program you will never have to worry about if they are safe while walking home from school or playing at a friends house.
